Completely hand dyed, hand woven & hand spun in Mali. This richly colored fabric made using traditional methods, was used for centuries to pass information down from one generation to another. Mudcloth had also been used since ancient times as camouflage in warfare. Today, real mudcloth is hard to find at a reasonable price and is in high demand as a wall decoration or used as a regal wrap! Each is different and each pattern means something different.
